The new Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo will be a fully GREEN facility!  The new 25 acre site at County Road 6 and Hwy 59 will feature larger all natural enclosures for the animals.  One reason this is possible is that this zoo is being built from the ground up, unlike most current zoos which started small and were added to over the years.

Animal Planet also plans to continue their "Little Zoo That Could" documenary series during the constructon and transportation of the animals from the current location to the new one.
